The AFDCS is looking for an editor to produce its award-winning bimonthly journal, First Days. (You can see a recent issue here.) The editor 
will be responsible for choosing and obtaining articles, editing them, and layout of the issues. (We have an advertising manager and ads are submitted camera-ready, so that is not the editor’s responsibility.) There is a significant stipend and the AFDCS will obtain a subscription to needed software.
Candidates need proficiency using inDesign and other Adobe products, proficiency using the internet, good command of English, and the ability to meet deadlines. Some familiarity with philately would be a plus but is not required. The AFDCS editor also serves on the society’s executive committee.
